The Beginning of the End

Hey guys,

After a good run, it is my sad duty to announce that as of Thursday 2nd June, Epsilon will be no more. There are multiple reasons behind this decision, but the main one is that it's no longer cost-effective to keep running. In fact, as it currently stands, I realistically need about $150-$200 in donations by next week in order to make the server worthwhile. I can neither hope for, nor expect this to happen, so we have taken the decision to shut down.

I like to think we had some good times on Epsilon and had our fair share of laughs. To this end, I would like to invite everyone to the server one last time on Wednesday 1st June at 2PM EDT for a small party before we say goodbye.

If anyone wishes to talk about their favourite moments on Epsilon or just want to say goodbye, feel free to post in the comments section below. Hopefully, I'll see many of you in the near future. But if I don't, I just want to thank you all for the good times.

Strength In Numbers

Hey all,

After some talks with its senior staff and owner, we are pleased to announce that Epsilon and Nekobox are formally creating an alliance between our two communities! If you don't know who Nekobox are (which I imagine some people don't), you can find their group page here and their original announcement here. At the moment, Nekobox only consists of a prop hunt server, but they have plans to expand in the near furure.

I suppose that many of you are wondering why we have made this alliance, especially since some of you know of the problems and tensions between us in the past. Well we don't want to go into too much detail for various reasons, but the main one is that we both agree that our pasts should be left where they are and that we can start again, not as enemies or rivals, but as allies. I ask that if anyone comes from Nekobox (users or staff), you should treat them with the same respect that you would give anyone else. I've been personally reassured by RosuNeko (Nekobox's owner) that the same is in place for our community members going over there.

Thank you for your time in reading this announcement, and be sure to give our latest allies a warm welcome if you see them!

Ok let me clarify something. I speak for ALL my staff when I say that we've never tried to recruit staff or players from any other server, nor have we tried to force anyone to only play on Epsilon. None of us are that arrogant and if you think we are, then that's your opinion. As of this message, one of my mods is actually staff on another server (its one we're having problems with too). We haven't made them choose which community to be a part of BECAUSE we respect their freedom of choice.

Next, you state that we should "not tell the players they can leave mythtown and have staff on your server." We have never done this, but if you feel that we have, I would like to see your proof on this. If it turns out that one of my staff has been making these claims, then they will be dealt with.

Finally, I have removed Orlok from this group and he will not be allowed back. How you run your community is your concern. However, we do not accept racial slurs of any kind here.

Raven listen, I got no problem with you guys having your own community/server (good luck) but here's my warning: if your superadmin wants to recruit staff from our server, you may do so through private means, and second please do not tell the players they can leave mythtown and have staff on your server. Respect their freedom of choice, I have no problem with you finding staff from our server but do not force them to only play your server, that's unfair to the player.

....Yeah, it doesn't work like that. Now I'm only going to warn you all once. I've left my grudges in the past and I never had a problem with MythTown. Don't give us one.

Sorry guys I'm back it's been stressful. I've been a Payne so I tried to make it up by leaving the community but then I thought about how I had gotten to know 2 amazing people who believed in me even if there were ppl or members a times who thought I was childish or I didn't follow the rules. I did do that but that's why I decided to make a change on my own. I've set up a type of stock market I think will be helpful. It is a server rating Trend based chart. If you have any questions I am available at anytime unless I'm asleep. I also need to apologize to the staff members 2 in particular. So if you have any questions add me back and my name will be the same. Thanks for everything Raven and Brian.
