Did you know? #12 - Marble fade knives can show off three main colors on the knife blade in yellow, red, and blue. The color distributions can affect the price of a knife substantially. Common/ standard patterns include: Piss-ice (blue and yellow, almost no red), Blue Dominant (blue taking up most of the blade) and Tri-color (almost equal distribution of the 3 colors). Overpaying starts quite significantly when it comes to high tier patterns - fake Fire & Ice (dominantly made up of red & blue, with just a little yellow peeking through) and the rarest Fire & Ice (only red & blue, and no sign of yellow).
Did you know? #11 - Medusa, one of the most sought after AWP skins, show almost no sign of scratches or wear even in BS condition. They look good regardless of their float or exterior. Ones with extremely high float value are named 'Green Witch', as the face of Medusa is slightly more green.
Did you know? #10 - The best Slaughter patterns to look out for are Diamond and Heart! A bonus, if you are able to get a combination of both rare patterns on the same knife! Other notable slaughter patterns include Phoenix and Angel.
Did you know? #9 - It is better to have rare patterns and/or colors on the knife's tip than to have them near the handle. This applies to doppler, case hardened, marble fade, crimson web and slaughter.
Did you know? #8 - You can simply scrape stickers off the skins if you do not like them. Removal of stickers will not affect the looks / wear of the skins. Do think through before scraping though, as stickers cannot be retrieved or reused!
Did you know? #7 - Rust Coat knives with extremely high float require overpay due to the very rusty look, which is more desirable! Do not buy Rust Coat knives in Well-Worn condition as they are less popular and more expensive.
Did you know? #6 - Sticker Placement is actually very important, as it can greatly affect the value of the stickers! Examples of the best places to apply your best and most expensive sticker are: On the wood (AK-47), above mag (M4A4), on the scope (AWP).
Did you know? #5 - AWP Hyper Beast and AWP Asiimov with extremely high float (0.90fv>), named Black Beast and Blackiimov respectively, require overpay due to their special black scopes! The higher the float and the blacker the scope is, the more it costs!

Did you know? #3 - A good tip when purchasing a Karambit in FN condition is to look at its corner! In most cases, floats don't really matter if the corners are great. A perfect corner can usually sell for a higher price!
Did you know? #2 - Some knives only come in Minimal Wear / Factory New exterior (eg Doppler, Fade, Tiger Tooth). These knives in MW are rarer compared to those in FN. Thus, sometimes these FN knives can cost lower than MW ones!
