I wish I didn’t have to make this post, but I thought I’d make something constructive out of it since this particular issue keeps arising.

To start, I hate ads just as much as the next guy. I also hate being restricted to YouTube to watch certain content. Haven was banned in several countries where in response I gave the files to respectable individuals so they could upload them to “pirate” websites.

This is the exact reason why I’m making all of my machinimas available to be downloaded via my Steam page here so you can download them and share them to your heart's content: https://gtm.you1.cn/groups/blindE/discussions/0/1732087824986710529/ This also goes for my music. Please! By all means use it! I’ve disabled auto-flagging on YouTube through my distributor for this very reason. Just be sure to give credit. That’s all I’ll ever ask.

Now to the issue I’ve been running into. As you see in the image above, a user uploaded an entire video of ours cutting out all names and logos associated with us and then replaced it with their own. This has happened to this particular video countless times and has happened to other content I've created for years. People think they can do this because I’ve never been that big on here. This happens to other small time artists all the time. It’s one thing to re-upload something for your own viewing pleasure, or ask to use pieces of that video on something such as a video essay/parody/montage. Ask! I’m alright with that! But don’t steal something and then take credit for it as if you’ve made it yourself. The only person you are cheating is you after that initial dopamine rush. YouTube has an extremely advanced detection system nowadays. A video will still be detected even if you splice it up, flip the orientation and scramble the audio. That detection email will be sent right to my email before you either get a copyright strike or your channel is taken down. Just don’t bother.

Anyway, I digress. Hope everyone is surviving 2021 so far. Take in what beauty you can. As for what we’re working on? It’s done when It’s done. Peace.
