Bearly Delivered is coming to Steam!

It's been around 8 years since we've posted an announcement to this group, but we are BACK. Several life events have occurred between now and then (graduating high school and college, buying a house, getting engaged), but most importantly to you, we are making another game! And this one will be on Steam.

Bearly Delivered is an arcade style physics game where you attempt to deliver packages around your procedurally generated neighborhood. Use one of your delivery vehicles to chuck packages out the window, or travel by foot house to house. Be sure to avoid pedestrians and the daily commuters (or don't, you'll have to live with that burden)!

Indy Popcon & Greenlight So Far

We just got back from Indy Popcon, where we showed off our game to a crowd much larger than we expected. Every single person enjoyed the game and a lot said that they are going to buy it whenever we end up releasing it. The hate we have received on our Greenlight page shows only that people who want to hate video games will, and that those who are interested in seeing young studios succeed, will enjoy what they put out. Those people understand that these games come from the heart of the developers, which Chicken Hero definitely does come from a passionate development team. If you hated on the game in the comments, we understand. All you saw was cheap graphics and a little bit of gameplay, and that's all you need to say that something is created to make a "quick buck" these days. (Side note: If someone wants to buy the game, then let them. If they enjoy their experience, who are you to nag on the dev team for giving them something that they wanted?) If the game looked like the next Final Fantasy, the Greenlight community would be all over it, praising it not for its gameplay, but for how it looks, and that's what Chicken Hero's negative criticisms have been about. Not a single person actually took what the game actually was and gave a solid reason as to why it would fail as a product, everyone based their opinions on graphics alone. This proved to be a minuscule detail as developers, for we received a overwhelming amount of support from all ages and backgrounds. From a 7-year old girl that dominated the levels, to an older woman who just loved the cuteness of the game, we have to give it up to Indy Popcon for giving us this wonderful experience. Up next for us is more developing to hopefully get the game out sometime this summer. To all of our fans who have actually played the game and understand it (unlike most of the people in the comments) we appreciate your support every day and thrive off of your words of encouragement.
