I'm glad to say that the micro-transactions threat has past,
even though there are some games by russian game makers with micro-transactions still kicking, the AAA game companies got the message pretty clear, and I am ready to leave this group happily!

Not Incur any Cynicism , but is this really helpful on this scale? i think something that would Really shake Things up is If A group on E3 or some Important Gaming Association Protests LIVE on camera. Or some other Idea someone has. i have protested many times to many things game related (mostly to EA) on forums and Twitter and such and they just brush it off and appeal to their "Hardcore fans" for help. a good example it Useless "Origin Points". well anyway i thought i had to say this now. because i didn't even know about this until i searched for it out of curiosity.

I think the management of this group should make it clear that this group is specifically against microtransactions in premium games. Once that is done, we can stop fighting amongst ourselves, and begin to make some progress.

in F2P games they are fine, but in games you have already paid like 60$ for, its ridiculous.

I can't agree with this movement. Whilst there's plenty of bad examples of microtransactions, being able to provide optional support through the purchase of virtual good NOT ESSENTIAL to the game itself is something I wholeheartedly believe in.
That and free to play games basically have such as a requirement in order to make money.

Games you already pay for with microtransactions.

While I would love to see the end of microtransactions, that would also spell the end of free games. They're free, so they need those microtransactions to stay afloat, since most of them are MMOs with running servers.

I'm in. Microtransactions in full-price games is tantamount to a bait-and-switch scam. I'll never pre-order another game, because I can't trust publishers not to spring this stuff on me on launch day. Give them an inch and they'll take a mile.

If anything makes me sick, then it's paying for a game I already bought, and those who do get a head start against the other players. Count me in!
