eep - i hope origin improves as there is no way im gonna miss out on mass effect 3. still they have a few months to improve it before release.
what with GFWL, Rockstar social club, Uplay, Steam, Origin and ♥♥♥♥ knows what else, its getting out of hand all these crappy bloatware apps.

Thanks alot for that Mixel, yeah but it doesn't just check the ProgramData folders goes much more into depth plus they share that data with a third party (who knows who? etc etc) know what I mean. I'm aware of Sandbox but it seems really complex to master imo? Needn't be this complicated. Have you seen the feedback for this game worldwide (especially from Germany where they originally found it out) its crazy!! Its all about how corrupt EA Games are, nothing like Valve/Steam even though they do have those options but you can’t turn them off unlike in Origin. Its bang out of order!! Yeah, if it isn't a game from Steam nowadays I won't buy it, not like I buy many anyway lol - cheers mate !

I would take Battlefield3 only if it had aliens in it, lol. Not really intrested in L4D3 - I would really like a story driven zombie game - shame Dead Island didn't quite live up to my expectations.
Raindow6 is about the only military game I've played too - I only got that because it was in a sale pack with Assassins Creed and Splinter Cell. It also feels like more a stealth game than a war sim. Theres also crysis which I love, but for me thats about shooting aliens(and cool graphics).
we should hook up for some rainbow6 - Mr.D-Lish and I tried the other day, we couldn't play for long becase the servers were pretty ropey, but we should give it another go..

I'll always have love for L4D - and know I'll come back to it many more times in the future. . . . like you say its just one of those one off games that shines above so many, I mean, running riot with a samurai sward and pump action shot gun waiting for flesh eating zombies to attack lol happy days!! Tbh the only military game I've played is Rainbow 6 – but if someone came along and said I'll make a Battlefiled3 or L4D3 (with a new engine) which one would you take? I'd go for the latter :)

lol -haha, yeah Im just keen for Valve to give news of a new Half Life - I don't care how it comes at this stage, I just want to continue the story. HL2 is one of my all time favourite games :) (that and the Mass Effect series). Valve dont seem to like to stray very far from the Source engine -thou Portal 2 shows it can still produce decent graphics - nothing like Frostbite2 of course. Battlefield 3 looks fantastic - the environments and lighting are very impressive, but I'm not so much into military shooters.. so I'll probably give it a miss at the mo. :)

yeah I don't play as much L4D as I once did, but theres something adictive about zombie shooting, still love! - got the the new L4D2 map - looking forward to givin it a try..

Hahaha sorry for my ramblings there everyone , sounded like Father Jack there for a moment lol . . . . although I believe you’re right in the comments I do think a new game engine would be the only way forward, ie; Battlefield3. I really enjoy the mod maps on L4D2 don’t get me wrong, I think they’re brilliant and much better than some of the original maps tbh but I can’t seem to play it any longer than an hour or so now ?? dunno why ?? I only played Half Life once or twice manly because I didn’t have a computer back then, but yeah, I enjoyed it, and clearly a top notch game – just comes down to the evolution of the game engines once a blue moon. Suppose its a case of the new SHINY SHINY though really ;D

C’mon Valve make a new engine for L4D and HL please ;P

Only a week away now for Battlefield3 though ;)

For the sake of balance here at AAWW- I'm compelled to respond to your request for L4D3 Marco....
Valve needs to work on the next Half Life game (after the forthcoming release of Dota2 and CS:GO) It's been 4 long years since the last HL release and after it's dramatic ending, we are a long time overdue to see what happens next!
L4D3 is really not needed - the physics would be basically the same as L4D2 as it would still use the Source engine, so it would basically be new survivors and more maps - we get plenty of new maps thanks to the modding community - a community that would be split if a new L4D were to be released. Theres plenty of life left in L4D2 because of it's inherent replayability, yet they already killed off L4D1 by releaseing the sequel after only a year - I think it would be a bad idea to churn out a new version every year like COD.
I vote valve continue to support L4D2 with new mutations and DLC :)
(Give us a new Half Life ! ! ! cheers ! ! !)

I'm more than willing to pay an extra tenner on top of the original price - brilliant game for the monies worth with many hours of fun – however; I can't play L4D 1 or 2 any longer than an hour nowadays. . . I’m talking about the physics, the characters, the damn predictability!! The add-on packs are brilliant and the people who play are fantasic – but its time for the next chapter to roll forth. . . put all the other games in the making on hold, and focus on this puppy :)
