The United States of America

The United States of America is a federal government which was supported by the nineteen free states and five border slave states. It was opposed by 11 southern slave states that had declared a secession to join together to form the Confederacy. During the American Civil War, the Union was heavily industrialized and urbanized, and had a larger population then the CSA.
