Rust at its roots is a social game. It requires interactions between total strangers to survive. More so lately interactions have boiled down to a KOS mentality that favors the more aggressive and greedier of gamers. In an effort to cater to our basic need for friendship and a spirit of cooperation the village serves as a way to work together for a single goal while sharing fun and promoting teamwork and simple decency.
