Pure Pwnage

This is a group dedicated to playing L4D2 Versus games, i'm sure we'll play other modes too, but that is the main focus. We have an 8 slot server based in London which is locked to the public unless a group member is on it, so the server will always be open for group games.

There are some rules, some of which will be made up as we go along, but the main ones are...

1. No raging. Consistantly raging from games will cause you to be deleted from the group. There is a difference between raging (being a ♥♥♥♥) and needing to leave so that will be taken into consideration.

2. No Griefing (No ♥♥♥♥♥). This includes spamming sounds, team killing, exploiting or the various other things that ♥♥♥♥♥ do, not just guy ♥♥♥♥♥, girl ♥♥♥♥♥ too.

3. No Insults. Joking and messing are fine, just don't be a ♥♥♥♥.

Infact, most things will be covered by 'don't be a ♥♥♥♥'

In terms of non members playing and eventually joining the group. Group members can invite their friends to group games, however, if a group member wants to join while the game is still in lobby then the non member will be asked to make way. No one will ever be asked to leave in game, not to make way for friends, admins, server owners or anyone else, it's not fair to start a game you can't finish because someone else wasn't on time for a game.

Non members will get invites to join after they've played a certain number of games with us (1, 2 or 3 i'm not sure what will work best yet) with approval from at least 2 admins.

The server itself is going to be getting stats and rankings, confogl mod (the standard server mode will be vanilla, confogl will be an option not a requirement) and we will also be hosting custom maps which we will be playing group vs games on.

Currently we have no custom maps on our server, they cause lag so the maps are stored on our webspace and can be transfered back and forth in a matter of minutes.

I think for the moment to keep it uncomplicated everyone should try get the Haunted Forest campaign first, we're gonna try play vs on that map in a few days.

We had another group confogl game tonight. Based on feedback i've changed a few things.

Firstly, medpacks will return to saferooms, only saferooms though ;) The good weapons will also make a comeback, except not in saferooms, so you'll have to find your wares elsewhere.

Tank spawns and witch spawns have also been reduced, tank every map just gets boring because you expect it. The chances are now 30% chance for a witch or tank (might be and, i'm not sure) except on the middle maps (anything that's not a finale or intro map) when tank chance will be 60%.

I have however buffed the witch a little bit, so far i've increased her activation distance by 50% and if she incaps you, her claws will kill you twice as quick. I'm also thinking of increasing her health to either 1500 or 2000, though i think the two things i've done so far could be enough to make people fear the witch again :D

Finally, you'll all be glad to hear, the changes made to the scoring system have now been changed back to standard scoring system. I might put back in some sort of health based bonus at some stage, however it won't be anything as high as it was before, maybe something like 25% of each survivors health for a max bonus of 100 if all survivors have full health.

I'm sure this won't sit well with anyone who plays confogl regularly, however this isn't a competitive group or a clan, it's for people who wanna have fun games and are sick of ragers, pubstomps, trolls, hackers and noobs.

Anyway...if anyone actually reads this ♥♥♥♥, give me some feedback on the changes i've made...if not, i'll assume you all approve of the changes and i'll just link you to this post tomorrow night when i tell you i've changed stuff and you ask what xD

First group game

Just had our first group friends only game, all went well apart from some admin noobieness on my part at the start. But it was a fun game :) We shall try to have another game tonight at around 12:30 or 1:00 GMT but if there's not enough people we may have to go public. There will be another friends-only game tomorrow night at 9 GMT, actually 9 this time and not 10 because of me forgetting to update the server...sorry guys, was drinking all weekend, forgot :P Anyway seeya tonight or tomorrow night.
