Hi there,

As some of you may have noticed, I now have a Reakktor Studios tag by my name on these forums. If you were wondering why, this is because in the interest of making communication and collaboration with the community even stronger, the Toxikk team has selected me as the new Community Manager for Toxikk. I am extremely excited to be taking on this role and look forward to working with both the community and the developers to make Toxikk the most satisfying, balanced, and polished arena shooter you have ever played, so that we can be fragging like it’s 1999 for many years to come.

What this means, is that I will be working with the development team as well as the community to help facilitate clear and quick communication both ways so that everyone is on the same page. I’ll be working to bring the insights of the community (including myself) to the developers and help in testing their implementations, and I’ll be working to bring the most up to date information from development to the community to keep you in the loop as best I can.

For those of you that don’t know me, I’ve been playing UT since UT99, with thousands upon thousands of hours of UT3 and 2k4 online. I have been very vocal on these forums about feeling that Toxikk represents the best possible future for this gameplay lineage, and have been striving to give the best possible feedback on the forums to work toward the game being the best it can be as I passionately want to see it become the tremendous success that I feel it should be. I also play, a lot, odds are you have already played with me, but if you have not I look forward to seeing you in game at some point. I play North American servers pretty much every day, generally between 3PM and 9PM EST.

I’d like to use this thread for more than just an announcement, though, as I’d be interested in hearing what else folks would like to see me do in my role as a Community Manager for Toxikk. Some thoughts I’ve had are scheduled group playtests with specific balancing focus, organized events such as for-fun (or maybe down the line more serious) tournaments, and that sort of thing, all officially supported by Reakktor. So let me know what kind things you might be interested in. I’m really looking forward to working with you guys to make Toxikk the most awesome AFPS ever!

Also, I know I have a propensity for very wordy posts, so I'll be trying to always include a TLDR summary at the end for such posts to make things more digestible. I hope this is helpful.
