What's up with GUID's
I made three mods a while back and they all seem to be working fine with GUID's. To my knowledge GUIDs are used in correspondence with the item Id which makes the item spawnable. However recently I can't figure out how to get GUID's on my new mods. I always thought that GUIDs were randomly generated and placed by the game but recently I have been having trouble with getting GUID's on my .dat files. Is there any way I can trigger the game to assign my mod a GUID or is there any way I can use another one? Thanks.

Game not generating a GUID is most likely because your files aren't valid. Check the Error Logs for possible invocation errors.

if it doesnt load a GUID your mod is broken , maybe in unity ? or the ID is too high maybe ? does it spawn ?

I'm using 42047 as an ID, and no the item does not spawn. I literally just made a simple shirt mod right now (which doesnt involve models like my other mods so this should work), and all I did was replace the texture file and bundle the thing. I dont think I did anything wrong. How do you get a GUID loaded?

A guid is generated if your file is valid. Make sure your Unity is version 5.5.1f1. Error logs are found in the Workshop and Error Logs menu in Unturned.

my new mod does not even show up in the error logs, did I do something wrong?

EDIT: it said it failed to analyze (my mod).dat, is it because I have the files opened or?

That's because your Unity file is invalid. Make sure your files are valid and are exactly like the example with other textures.

what do you mean unity files are invalid? I deleted everything and bundled an exact copy of nelson's shirt file and I am still getting the same error. Is something wrong with unity or?

sorry if I am being an amature or annoying

Remember that the Folder, Unity file and DAT must have the exact same name. Also as I said, are you using the correct Unity version?

I am using unity 5.5.1f1, and I verified that the .unity3d file and the .dat file all have the same name except the english.dat. Did unturned update to new version or?

Then there is some else problem. Try bundling something else like an object.

currently I am reinstalling unity and also reinstalling unturned. one thing is clear is that i cant seem to bundle anything without being rejected. Just to make sure I should be using the bundle tool, not the content creator tool right?

thanks for all the help by the way
