RIP TAUNT. Greatest Badwater server ever run. Miss those times.

@Jumpo, generally, nobody had the desire/time to continue managing the servers. Patches would come out and end up breaking server plugins that either went unfixed or the servers just went unpatched. Was better to cull it at that point instead of just letting the corpse limp around.

So what exactly happened to Taunt? There's announcements here and on the forums about it shutting down, but no explanation as to what exactly happened? Was it a money issue? A Valve issue? Anyone have any idea?

Its a damn shame to see the group go to shit, TF2 is dead now so i guess its ok...

My son just started playing this game and I was telling him how awesome and fun the taunt servers were and I come to find out they are gone!!!! If that is true then I might as well take this PC and chunk it in the dumpster! Please tell me that they are just updating their servers, because they were the best thing to happen to TF2!

After not playing tf2 for 2 years and to come back and see my favorite servers dead, really brings a tear to my eye. I will never forget the highschool freshman year of spending way too much time on TAUNT and not doing my homework. RIP In Peace

The 2Fort server has actually been broken since the Tough Break update. That is why no one has been on it. I doubt it will ever be fixed.

Is Taunt dead? There's never anyone on the 2Fort server anymore...

I'm learning how to program. Last year I took AP comptuer science but barley learned anything (not very good teacher). I will like to make an app for Android and iPhones. & my first thought is why not make an app for Taunt? This is a project that I plan to spend a few months on. My personal deadline is before I graduate. I really like the community in Taunt and I have met some great people here. I will try to develop an App for Taunt that let's you log in to your taunt account, look and post to the forums, and also make a status and view/comment others. I'm starting out with almost no knowledge on how to develop an app. If anybody wants to help please message me. I would really appreciate it. Hopefully it can be done, I really want to give something to the community instead of just money.

Hey admins of the group and such. I was wondering how cool it would be if you guys, say every week or so, made a competition. One where you invite either everyone or a very select few to compete in a tournament to be the weekly or daily or whatever player. im sure a lot of people would want to compete. and it would probably raise the reputation of TAUNT gamers across all games and servers. just a thought. but if you maybe want to talk a little bit more about it. let me know and ill join your chat
