All for pointless changes that do nothing but destroy all the work of the community members. Why?

There was a recent change made in the beta branch of steam to randomize all CSS classes in the steam app ("to save space") which means any custom user styles will be destroyed and have to be re-written every update. There are communities of 1000's of people that still unofficially support themes for steam. this means all the workings of the hundreds of people and the 1000's of users can no longer enjoy the community made content; and the last 10 months of work gone into them has essentially been thrown into the trash.

This should be reverted, back to what it used to be. I think the basis of a request like this definitely isn't outside the range of what can/can't be done considering it has no effect on the larger steam community, and other than saving a few kilobytes of bandwidth, does nothing but ruin themes. Considering it was fine for the last 10 months and no complaints about sizes have been made, this change has come straight out of left field.

Something as little as reverting a change that saves only a few kilobytes would make the skinning community happy. I hope this post is received, and potentially considered as I love steam and we don't want something like this happening.
