What map do you want to see ported to COOP from Insurgency Mod (or any Source Game)
Assuming the port is relatively easy on my end (this can be determined on whether or not the textures/models are included in the map). If not Id have to manually replace them and also create and fix new nav meshes for AI, this can easily take 5-8 hours per map with testing. Probably 3-5 hours of fixing bugs and improving fun/challenge after map is released.

Maps to get you started:

http://ins.gamebanana.com/maps

You can look all over gamebanana assuming they are source maps. Post a reason why you think that map would be fun to port.

Also if you want existing maps to be fixed up or improved, post on that as well. Once again, Ill balance the fun factor with "is it worth the time" to determine if I'll do the fix/port.

My end goal is to get as many maps on each month to add more content and fun to the server.

Played Fortress a bit on another server, looked fun. Not sure how it would translate with bombers + 14 players though. Also a Chief-C map.

Not sure which is more up to date, so posting links~

Fortress was having crash issues. Might be because of bombers not sure. So we took it off. I may do a test in future without bombers to see if that's the problem.

they seem to be already ported into INS, prolly needs some work to get it working for checkpoint mode.

INS Mountaipass
http://ins.gamebanana.com/maps/116832

I like this map because its different than most of the insurgency maps, woodsy, green. A change of pace visually.

SoftForest
http://ins.gamebanana.com/maps/70760

Looks like it would provide alot of cover and around corner firefights. That and a few snipers nests to boot. Might have staying power to keep the map interesting.

Bridge Crossing
http://ins.gamebanana.com/maps/129468

This looks like a interesting night map where its not super super dark but still feels diferent ambiently. Also looks like it has several routes to take instead of just straight over the bridge.

Docks looks like it could be fun, and it looks like its native to insurgency. It would need to be ported to checkpoint though.

I think it would be a good fit because it has interesting mechanics (Like oil slicks that blow up) and it would be a good fit for checkpoint due to its varied landscape (buildings, open streets, cover).

Also, if there's anything I can do to help port maps or do anything else on the server please feel free to PM me

I swear to black baby Jesus this map is SCREEEEAMING to be ported to insurgency.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare - WAR PIG! =D
The level in the first game out of the modern series where you have to provide infantry support for an Abhrams as it moves down a road.

This would be PERFECT to eventually intoduce an APC version of in place of the tank, and the level itself has almost an identical feel to what our server provides; A hectic killing-field of random explosions and constant RPGs accented by small-arms fire.

All that being said, I HATE CoD - but War Pig is definitely begging to be remade into an insurgency co-op map.

Hell even for source games, why not have like a whole string of levels so we can fight our way through half life 2 or left 4 dead maps.

still - orange maps.

Is there a source version for this map? I meant ported to coop, not ported to the engine. Remaking an entire map would take weeks if done with quality.

i thought you were talking about Source Engine

I've only messed around with it as 1 vs AI but the map looks pretty detailed, I think it would make a good coop/checkpoint map. I was also going to suggest Haditha but I saw Daimyo's comments, so I guess he's already working on that.

You can also destroy the electricity box located in one of the walls in order to permanently shut down lights and doors.

You can also set "oil" spills on fire (this should prevent enemies from crossing a specific path for a short period of time, give you visual cover, create a distraction or burn your team-mate's asses!

I've had docks on my hard drive for a while. I was considering this map and will eventually get to it. I like that the map has lots of interactive stuff.

Haditha seems cool too along with many of those maps that Gary has ported from the mod. However, those ones will be much harder to convert to checkpoint because they are very condense and need more planning.

Have you ever considered stringing 2-3 maps together into a pseudo-campaign?

To clarify - it wouldn't be three maps conjoined, but in the voting screen people woud vote to play the series, and you would have to beat map A to get to map B to get to map C, and failing x# amount of times in a row out of all of the total allowed attempts, would result in being kicked back to map A for being so failtastic.
Then you could have some kind of uber-finale at the end of map C and disable all the other finale inbetween just to throw it all at us in one massive counterattatck.

Interesting maps for your consideration:

Map: de_thematrix_1.1
Reason: Trippy matrix-themed map would be a fun change from all the dust and sandy textures.

Map: ze_LOTR_Helms_Deep_v5
Reason: It's helm's deep from LOTR, pretty big area. Lighting looks kinda shit though.

Map: de_ropax
Reason: A better cargo - bigger and less clusterfucky.
