Hey modders! I've reworked the Steam Workshop tags page, and you guys will likely need to update the tags in your mod so they show up on the tag list on the home page.

All you need to do is update your mod, using the proper tags from the right hand column on this page.

If you use the uploader you'll need to write in the tag exactly as it's displayed on the right hand panel of the workshop's front page. For example, if you're doing a Chinese translation, you need to specifically input the tag "Traditional Chinese" or "Simplified Chinese" exactly as its printed in the tag list on Steam.

Alternatively, you can simply visit your mod's page and click "update tags".

Your mods should all still show up on the front page (if "popular") or when people search for them, but if you want them on the new pre-sorted tag list you *must* add one of the tags on the list.

Additionally, as the workshop Admin, I can edit your tags myself. So I will likely also run through your guy's mods and put them where they belong saving everyone some time. :)

First of all, thanks for all the hard work. I'm amazed at how many 100% or practically 100% localization are already on the workshop!

I'd also like to make sure you get paid for your work, and while I've been watching the progress, some of you never contacted me for payment even though your mod appears to be mostly completed. If you have not been paid and your mod is pretty much done at this point (>99.0%), drop a comment in here and we'll sort it out.

Shortly after InDev 32 Stable is fully released, this entire group will be deleted. But, if that happens before you're paid, don't worry about it. You can still pester me over on the localizing forum.

Also, if you manage to get your mod >95% before 32 Stable is released, I'll still honor the original deal regardless if you're not quite complete yet. I just ask that you push forward after 32 Stable is out to get it to 100%. :)

Barring any issues, I am currently planning to release InDev 32 Stable on February 3rd.

Greetings everyone, InDev 32 Unstable 2 was just released yesterday, and it includes all the tools you guys need to start your localization mods. I am still honoring my original deal from the first announcement. The first three people to finish the full translation (properly) for their respected languages will get $200 (or $300 for a select few languages). You can read more about the rules/requirements in the welcome announcement.

If you want to make a mod, get to it! There's no need to ask permission, the first 3 people (or groups) to 100% get the pay out, but that doesn't mean there isn't room for multiple language mods on Steam anyway.

You will need to opt into the Unstable branch on Steam to access the tools, once you have InDev 32 Unstable 2b installed, in Rise to Ruins' install folder you will find a /localization/ folder. Open it up, and open up "HOW TO MAKE MODS".

If you find any issues at all, please report them to me on the localization forum. There will likely be all sorts of minor issues I'll need to hash out as we progress, and I won't be able to fix them if I don't know they exist! :)

Welcome to the Workshop Alpha group! This group's main purpose is to allow localizers access to the workshop while it is in alpha.

More information is to come about how to make and edit localization mods, but for the time being this is the place you need to be if you're interested in getting your mods made and published before InDev 32 is released.

I will be paying modders who complete a full translation before InDev 32 Stable is released! Payouts will either be via Paypal. or Steam wallet funds.

If Paypal, all I will need is your Paypal email upon completion of the mod. If you want a steam wallet code, I can gift you one via Steam. Keep in mind though, I may not be able to gift wallet codes to all regions due to some limitations on how Steam works. So please consider having Paypal as a backup anyway just in case!

You will retain ownership of your mod, in the same way you would any mod for any game on Steam! Even though I am paying you to make the mods, what I am paying you for is to load the store with translation mods before launch. I am not actually "buying" the work itself from you. It will remain your work, and on your account on the workshop. You will continue to get 100% of the credit for them, and I hope that you will continue to maintain them later! :)

The Rules/Payout Information:

• Chinese, Russian, Japanese, Korean and German translations will get $300 USD if they can get the game 100% localized before InDev 32 is released. All other languages (Except English ) will get $200 USD.
  
• If you are caught using Google Translate, any third party services or reusing/stealing other mod's translation work, you will instantly be invalided from a payout. These must be done by hand, by someone fluent in both English and the language they are working with.
  
• People who work in teams can have the payment divided between them in whatever way they deem fair. You guys just work out how you want it split, and let me know.
  
• I am accepting multiple translation mods for the same languages, the more the merrier! We'll let Steam decide whos is the best via their internal rating systems. But, the limit is no more than 3 per language, first 3 finished get paid. :)
  
• As mentioned above, you must have Paypal, even if you plan to take a Steam Wallet Code instead, because I may not be able to issue a Wallet Code to all regions due to Steam limitations.
  
• While not required, I hope that you will continue to update your mod in the future, as the game is updated.
  
• If you are trilingual, you can do more than one language.

While this group does have its own forum by default, I ask you to use the official game forum's localization subforum, because eventually this group will be deleted, and I'd hate for all your posts to go along with it.
