Well the minecraft server seems to be doing okay. I had initially been running it on a windows computer, but that computer seemed to be causing a large amount of lag with multiple concurrent connections.

I had moved to server files to another computer, that happens to be running the latest Fedora distribution. Overrall, it seems as though lag is gone, but there is some glitches regardless.

I'm using a developmental version of bukkit, since they haven't officially created a 1.6.4 build, so glitches are somewhat expected.

I'm using a piece of software that underclocks specific computer components such as the harddrive, or the network driver, or cpu when they aren't being used. This allows less electricity usage over time. If you ever log into the server that has nobody else on it, expect some lag for approximately 10 seconds until the software begins increasing the clock rate for specific components.

I know there has been a lot of lag periodically, but I'm hoping that's been solved for the most part.

Also, even though I stated there wouldn't be any mods installed, I reconsidered. I installed a mod that hopefully doesn't impact anybody within the group. The mod sends random data to each of you about hidden blocks, therefore leading your client to believe there is diamond/iron/coal/random blocks all over the place. It essentially blocks any possible x-ray mods you have installed on your computer.
