Hi All,
The spring LAN (https://www.facebook.com/events/944228992280384/) is just over a week away. This will be our 2nd society LAN and we have taken feedback from our previous LAN to ensure this day will be a great success.
Tickets for the LAN can be purchased from: http://www.upsu.com/societies/7466/
Tickets will cost £5. Which includes entry to the LAN, ONE tournament entry and refreshments as well as, supporting us with tournament prizes, and the infrastructure such as cabling, switches needed to setup the LAN.
We will also be selling society t-shirts aimed towards to the LAN. T-shirts will cost £9 which will feature our society logo on the front. Please try to pay for a t-shirt before Tuesday to guarantee your print for the LAN? T-shirts are currently available in S, M, L. if you require a size which is not featured please do email us at: contact@pugs.gg
On Saturday doors will open from 9AM at this time you are welcome to come and setup your computers. If you need any assistance please seek assistance from any society member (blue t-shirt).
We aim to create the tournament brackets between 11:00-12:00. This is for counterstrike, league of legends and smash 4. Please do try to arrive early to avoid disappointment.

Tickets for the LAN will go on sale tomorrow. Tickets will cost £5 which will cover entry to the LAN, Refreshments, Hardware (Power/ Ethernet cables/ Switches etc), and Participation in ONE tournament.
Tickets can be purchased by visiting: https://www.upsu.com/societies/7466/. And selecting “Spring LAN”.
Tournaments for the LAN will include:
• League of Legends
• Counter Strike
• Smash 4
Teams/ tournament bracket will be sorted out on the morning on the day. So please do arrive early to avoid disappointment.
The LAN is open to all so feel to bring your friends. You are still welcome to the LAN even if you are not participating in a tournament. In addition, we are now making our t-shirts available to all. T-shirts will cost £9. This is the price we are being charged for the t-shirts and print. Hey guys and girls! :)

TLDR: Please read this if you want to play in NUEL LoL.

NUEL is the National University Esports League, this year with LoL,
Hearthstone and CSGO (posts on the latter two later, need to check dates)!

NUEL for LoL is played online EVERY SUNDAY, with 4 games on the first Sunday, then 3 every following Sunday. The games start from 6:30pm, going on till around 10pm (depending). It is very intensive, so you need to be committed to your team! We will also be looking for subs for teams as well, if you don't want to play as often.

The first NUEL day will be Sunday, Nov 1st. The sign ups for the teams will open on Oct 18th, but I (along with some other committee helpers) will be making teams before then using this form.

We had 14 teams last year, most of which consisted of people who were Golds, Silvers, etc, so don't worry if you're not Plat/Dia, you'll still get a chance to play!

For our first team, Plymouth Drakes, we will be having tryouts for anyone ranked Plat 1+ who would like to join, as we are remaking the team this year (we might even have enough for two high ranked teams!).

We will also be sending our first team to Best of the South West (sign ups end next week, so we want to make teams fast!) - any other teams made will be put into BOTSW's team pool, it is random which other ones will be chosen.
