Hi, I've sent an invite, I play PFX, VPX, Zacc and Pinball M mostly. I host tournaments using PFX and VPX and also am a Moderator on the Official Zaccaria Pinball Discord. I also know Mart from Magic Pixel who runs the Discord. I have my own Gaming Discord with has tons of stuff on pinball and other games and also other things like music and various subjects. Been playing virtual pinball on and off for about 20 years, but in particular since about 2017-18. You may have seen my name in some Pinball FX tournaments!

I think I can get into most tables and so don't worry too much about the theme of the table. To me it's more about the shots available on the table and the flow of it. I love themes with mystery/"win-a-prize" elements as you have intimated above.

The classic Theatre of Magic never gets old and tables like Hurricane are fun once you know a bit about them, but gameplay can be brutal at times. I'm going to explore themes more in some up coming posts in this section, which will cover general topics which aren't suitable for the "Announcements" section. A good example of a table with a theme of a sport which I don't watch hardly ever is No Good Gofers. But build a rule set around a theme of golf into a pinball game and it matches perfectly. Another classic example of a table which players need to put time in to appreciate it fully. I rate the chances of most people loading up that table in-game or walking up to it in real life, playing it a few times, and actually really loving the gameplay as "unlikely". Once a player knows the shots on that table and what you can and can't do on it, the more appeal it has.

I'm going to explore the subject of themes more in some up coming posts in this Discussions section, which will cover some general topics which aren't suitable for the "Announcements" section. I have a few ideas brewing nicely! Max

Thanks for the info, I did notice this on Reddit earlier but forgot about it! Reminds me that I watched a video called " how a pop bumper works" or similar ages ago then realised that I had never thought about how it actually works until seeing the video about it.... :D
