The Upcoming Survival Mod

Out of all the mods I have played, one had a certain aspect around it that I just couldn't get over: GMStranded. Unfortunately, this mod, with all its possible potential, fell far shorter than expectations. A unique system of tribes, resources and fighting could have been so much, yet led to so little. The game itself starts out with you sitting on a platform with a phys gun, a grav gun, and your hands. Then you punch wood and stone to get rock and wood, create a workbench, and make a stone pickaxe and a stone axe. Then you create a furnace from stone and repeat with copper, then iron. Then you make a gun lab and gun chunks to make guns; extremely realistic? Wrong. But wait, I forgot the tribe system. Now I would think this would be where the mod would achieve the most success. Think of tribes battling it out over resources, territory and water. But no; instead if you 'declare war' against another tribe and you kill one of them your pretty much banned. Say you want to make a raid? After fighting your way through your enemies you become sadly disappointed as you get killed while trying to lift the enemies' resources. You just met the mods prop protection system. Great first encounter right? Now that you've seen most of the bad things you must be wondering "Well there can't be that much else." Wrong again. Once people get to the point of needing to be raided, they build a wall around them, plant some fruit, make a water fountain, and spam mining or wood cutting. Then they just sit and mine, drink, eat, sleep, repeat. Sooner or later they'll have thousands of all the metals and they'll no langer have a purpose of continuing. So now that you've met most of this mod's badsides you would like to see its good sides right? Too bad there isn't any that haven't been cursed or affected by the down sides.

And back to the mod design that I'm planning.
This mod drops you down in a forest or desert or whatever the map is. You are not dropped down in some building or a platform with everyone around you but whereever there happens to be a specific land mark. It doesn't drop you with a phys gun, but instead with you hands, a knife, and a grav gun. Then, after you've gotten your bearings, you have to make your first choice that could be life threatening. What do you do first? Do you: go looking for a suitible place to set up a camp? or do you go looking for food? or go hunting? fishing? making a campfire? farming? and the list could possibly go on as the mod develops. Eventually as your 'life' in the mod continues you gain access to higher technologies like straw beds, and domestication of animals. Eventually you get further technologies like bows, crossbows, spears and more. Then you'll be able to battle with others, or continue on with your exploration of the technological feats of the mod. It will probably be so open that you Could get to the features of GMStranded with real guns, black powder, metals and maybe even the bio lab.
