Dear brothers and sisters. On this joyous occasion of Eid Al-Adha 2024, we come together in gratitude and celebration. Eid Mubarak to you and your families! May Allah accept our fasting, prayers, and good deeds, and may He shower His mercy and blessings upon us all.

Let us embrace this day with hearts filled with love, compassion, and unity, cherishing the spirit of togetherness and the bonds that bring our community closer. As we celebrate, let us also remember in our duaas our brothers and sisters in Gaza, Sudan, and other parts of the Islamic world who are facing hardships. May Allah grant them strength, peace, and relief from their struggles.

Dear brother and sisters, this is a reminder for all of us to take advantage of the day of Arafah (Saturday, 6/15/24). This day only comes once every year and has immense rewards. Below are some suggestions to do in this blessed day:

1. Pray the obligatory prayers in the masjid
2. Stay in the masjid as long as you can
3. Read Quran
4. Make plenty of duaa (especially near the end of the day)

It is authentically reported that Abu Huraira رضي الله عنه reported the Prophet ﷺ said:

“The Hell-fire of Hell complained to its Lord saying: O Lord! My parts are eating (destroying) one another. So Allah allowed it to take two breaths, one in the winter and the other in the summer. The breath in the summer is at the time when you feel the severest heat and the breath in the winter is at the time when you feel the severest cold.”
