Miskatonic University is a university located in legend-haunted Arkham, Massachusetts. It is named after the Miskatonic River, and boasts one of the largest collections of occult books in the world.

The Miskatonic University Alumni Association seeks to assist MU graduates (and other interested individuals) in staying in contact with each other and the happenings of the university.

Expedition Seeks Lost Atlantis

ARKHAM, MA - The Miskatonic University Department of Hyborian Studies has announced that an expedition is setting out to see the reminants of the mythical continent of Atlantis. According to Dr. Howard Roberts, Chair of the department, years of painstaking research in the Hyborian rare book archives have revealed several tantalizing clues pointing to a possible location.

"Many texts from the Hyborian Age refer to Atlantis as an actual place," said Dr. Roberts, "though, of course, already destroyed at at that time. We believe we now know approximately where it was."

The expedition will first begin searching in the deserts of western North Africa, where rumors of an Unnamed City with an ancient library may hold clues to the final location.

The Department asks that students interested in joining the expediton contact Sonya Redding in the front office for further details. Hyborian Studies graduate students will be given first priority.

Expedition Germany

With the recent cession of wireless communication with Germany, our Chief Librarian Dr. Henry Armitage has reviewed the notes and casefiles of the late Dr. Allen Halsey, Dean of the Medical School. These documents were specifically related to the tragic events of 1903 and the involvement of several medical students of this University. Dr. Armitage has discovered a potential and alarming linkage between the current events in Germany and the events of 1903, and the shocking imprisonment and eventual death of Dean Halsey at the Sefton Asylum in 1907. If Dr. Armitage's analysis of these documents is correct, our University may bear some responsibility for the current German calamity.

Our University President has determined that we are morally obligated to investigate this potential linkage, and an expedition is being hastily organized, led by Dr. Armitage. Passage has been booked for interested parties on a tramp steamer bound for Hamburg, followed by a train to Berlin. Additional volunteers should contact Dr. Armitage and and are requested to be ready for a quick departure.
