MW2sa and MW3sa now offline

I wrote these tools like a decade ago, and they lean on some server-side functionality to save and share ban lists. Yesterday during some server maintenance the old code broke and I realized I couldn't be bothered to update the code again, so I took it offline.

It was a good run - thanks all for leaving comments on my profile about how much you hate me <3

Announcing the anti-abuse program

Hi there,

As many of you probably know, there's quite some MW2sa/MW3sa abuse out there. Well, it's time to do something about it.

The past week I've been working on a set of new features in the client that allow me to blacklist abusers, based on reports from the community. While I plan to eventually spread access to these new features to everyone, I first want to try beta testing it with a small group of volunteers that report abusers when they see them.

There are a few requirements to be an abuse reporter: no VAC ban, you must have a public Steam profile, you must own one of the games (MW2 or MW3), and for this first round of invites you must have played one of those games for at least 10 hours last week, plus at least 200 total.

As a reporter it is your task to know the official set of MW2sa/MW3sa rules (you will get an extra copy of those if you're invited) and to only report those who break the rules. All reports will be checked for validity, of course, so this system will be fair to everyone.

This is not about banning hackers. This anti-abuse program targets people who abuse MW2sa or MW3sa.

If you want to be invited, send an email to info@xifon.eu, and make sure to include a link to your Steam profile, mention the game you want to be a reporter for, and mention which DLCs you have. I will be inviting the first 25 people who send me an email and match the requirements, so hurry up! :)
