Since this group still exists, just wanted to give a heads up. Apparently a few peoples' Steam accounts got hacked and they're sending out bot messages that lead you to some funky websites. Don't click on any links from people for a little bit, and make sure you know who is on the other end of the line.

Hi Nerds,

As most of you now know, a good chunk of the IG community has Changed over to a new channel, called Cartridge University.

To make a long story short, the project started out as a revamp to the original channel, with most of the changes only really being relevant to the streamer side of things. The only reason that we're moving channels and not implementing them here is that Insom simply doesn't have the time to manage the backend and has so much personal information as part of the channel's account that he was uncomfortable sharing details with anyone else. At that point, we had two options. The first was "accept the state of the channel" and continue to get not that much done, leading to further decline. The other was "start a new channel", which would be rough, but the only way we could actually implement the changes and get the stream side of things back on track, which drives the rest of the community. To be honest, there really wasn't anything that could have been added by anyone else at that point. IG isn't going anywhere; it's Insom's and he can continue to do with it as he wants, but from the discussions I've been a part of, the other admins wanted to continue to focus their efforts and energy on improving the channel and the community, and this was the only option for doing so.

Also keep in mind that for this game, we're restricted to 5-character names this go around. I'm sure chat can still figure out plenty to do with that!

In addition, I've got this old keyboard lying around and I want to get rid of it. If you'd like, with your donation you can include #killthekeyboard or #savethekeyboard. The winning tag determines the keyboard's fate! The keyboard, or what's left of it, will be raffled off!
