1. OS from Valve 'Steam OS' on Linux. Is it a revolution? I think not! All that Valve guys have to do is to make a good emulator Windows inside Linux for us to play all games successfuly. and all the rest that we are promiced in Steam OS every man or a group can make their own and we see a lot of them in the Internet.
2. Steam Machine is an ordinary nettop that probably cost 200-300$ that covers the main part of the Market. Maybe there are other models which probably cost more than 300$. We see Asus Eee Box PC on the market today as more cheep variant ~200$ and to Alienware x51 ~600$ as more professional PC for real gamers. Can Steam get its segment place in the market and convince gamers to boot Steam OS on their PCs. I think not. Soon may be after appearing Steam-box with Steam OS there will be hack that provides get the emulator out of the Steam OS and boot it on the OS based on Linux. All the other features Steam OS an ordinary user of Linux can make and realize.
3. And now we see gamepad from Valve! We awaited it when the release of Portal 2 came, but instead of it we get the gamepad from Razor for Portal 2 special gameplay and then from the other producers. Time passed and time lost and now in the era of death of game consol when people buy new Sony PS to play GTA 5 and then get the game consol out in trash.
The end. Valve spent a large sum of money to realize all mentioned above. And I think this is the most unrational spending cash that formed as a result of reselling games and game content. I advise to spend their cash for employing talented stuff and opening new brunches in the world with a lot of work places.
Humor: The Head of Intell Company tell his stuff to get Antivirus on his PC. Next day he find out that they've bought McAfee (Company).
