So Doc, I recently came across a demo for a game that is currently being crowd funded called Cross Code... and holy crap. I think you should have a go at it. Yes it is. There are TONS of mods to add replayability, and with new updates comming out still, it will be fresh for quite a long time. So yes, get the PC version. Also you can use the wiki to look up crafting recipies, and there are a few mods that do that in game for you.
