@quack... I bought my copy at an european retailer online for $17 bucks and they emailed me the code and the link to download the full game with a patch to update it.

For all those looking to play Gears of War online. Get a service called Tunngle, its very active and I play it almost everyday.

Search up Gears of War TUNNGLE to get more information.
Basically, it tricks the game into thinking its on a LAN network and thats how you play with other players.
