Like TF2, Make TFC FREE!

Recently, Team Fortress 2 was dropped as a 'pay to play' game and is now FREE to play. The game that paved the way for TF2, Team Fortress Classic aka TFC is still $4.99

We, the members of this group ask that Team Fortress Classic be a FREE to play/download game like TF2. TFC is a 12 year old game with just over 100 servers and is STILL $4.99 USD!

Making TFC free could bring in new players, create new servers and reinvigorate this old but classic game! If you support the idea of making Team Fortress Classic FREE like TF2, join this group!

Hey guys. Long time no talk. Another year ends, another one begins. After getting hit by a wave of nostalgia after I got back in touch with an old friend from TFC that I used to play with around 2004, I thought of making a Spring 2012 reboot of "Big C's House of Pain [2fort or vote] w/ hookmod". It was an extremely popular server during the early days of Steam TFC.

March 2012 will probably be the deciding month on whether or not I will order a server. The monthly cost for a 20 player server is $20 - and I will pledge to pay 50% of the monthly costs. I am looking for either one dedicated $10 a month contributor or two dedicated $5 a month contributors.

The contributors will get limited admin privileges and if I can find the plugin, a sign over their head that says they donated - along with a mention in the MOTD. However, the contributor must be dedicated and can provide $5 or $10 a month. Paypal account is required.

If your tired of 24/7 2fort , dustbowl , head on over to -|DSH|- Slaughter House , reboot server ,

We do double shot Tuesdays but EVERYDAY!! most classic TFC maps will repeat only twice , if you don't like the map you can rtv after the first 5mins.

LETS MAKE TFC GREAT AGAIN OR ♥♥♥ LESS which ever comes first!!

Note: They should be free for Half-Life owners, and be modable (executables of non-HL GoldSrc games on Steam don't support -game).

Changing my opinion. TFC, DMC and Ricochet must be free because they were free before Steam. Counter-Strike was free, but is exception due to threat of cheaters.

TFC is worth much more than a measly $5. But the point is, Team Fortress 2 being free now rakes in many new players for the game, TFC should be the same, so TFC could be alive once more for at least a few more months or maybe even a year if we are lucky.
