His Majesty the King, in conjunction with His Holiness the Pope have agreed that Portugal must begin sending more Catholic missionaries to the New World.

There are still pagan outposts in the Americas. Africa and India are dominated with Heathenous Pagan worshipers and those ignorant of the Word of God.

Therefore, His Majesty has issued a directive to all Colonial Governments, demanding that the remaining Pagan populations in our colonies be snuffed out. Also that any new lands brought under Portuguese control, be converted to the one true faith. Catholic missionaries will work along side the military to accomplish this holy task.

The Royal Fleet based out of Goa, India will be rebuild and overhauled.

The Viceroy will be responsible for providing the resources/material and manpower needed to rebuild the fleet.

The Crown will provide the financial resources required for the fleets reconstruction.

If the Colonial Government cannot provide certain resources, they must petition the Crown for a reallocation of resources.

I Viceroy Salvador Cruz and my crew continue the expedition into the depths of the Angolan jungle. We left our camp with the first rays of sunshine along the Rio Cuanza River. Shortly after departure, we found a makeshift fishing rod in the river and a fishing net showed that there was no settlement. Full of curiosity but anxious to move to find the village after about two hours we met a black skin man. Our guides were in a position to communicate with this man and as part of friendship he decided to invite us to his village. We recognized that gaining native friendships would give us a better chance of finding something worth noticing in this area. About three kilometers from where we met the natives were a sizeable village of natives, we also have to point out that they received us with the greatest honors as heroes. On the same day I met the chief of the tribe whose name I unfortunately can not write or utter. Anyway, thanks to the help of our guides, we talked about all the miracles of our great country called Portugal and our just ruler, but the tribal chief told me about the village and the surrounding area, but one thing I remembered especially on the other side of the river is a cave In which were "golden rocks". So far we are going to stay in this village though we keep arms in the event of danger. Tomorrow with the samege morning we will check whether it is actually gold as we will have a really worthy find even the leader of the tribe offered to help in the search and invited us to feast probably eating on it will not be exquisite, but we will see. The next report will be written after returning from the search for gold ore with this report, I give my messenger a map with the village marked on it.

In the last three months alone, the Indian Fleet is in her worst condition. The fleet has been attacked by both Malayan and Burmese Pirates, aswell as Skirmishes with British Patrol Schonners and Caravels at least 40 miles off the coast of Ceylon. And do not forget about those storms that casually stroll into our docks and sailing ships alike. Our numbers have significantly dropped down since we left Lisbon. Here is our status report.

Schooners : 140 Ships (Down to 23 Able Ships, the rest either sunk, beached, or relieved from duty)

Caravels : 90 Ships (Down to 55 Able Ships, the rest either sunk, beached, or relieved from duty)

Sloops o' War (SoWs) : 40 Ships (Down to 19 Able Ships, the rest either sunk, beached, or relieved from duty)

Frigates : 15 Ships (Down to 7 Able Ships, the rest either sunk, beached, or relieved from duty)

Man o' Wars : 3 Ships (Only El Christian left floating, both Romeo and Il Vatican sunk during an attempted raid on Ceylon, commanded by your brother, the late Afonso VI)

Monitors : 2 Ships (Both Virtuoso and Lisbon sunk during the same attempted raid)

Due to this issues, we ask for reinforcements either from Goa or Lisbon in the form of :
-20.000 Additional Indian / European Sailors and Officers
-29 Portuguese / Dutch / British / Spanish / Italian Elite Captains
-100 Schooners
-45 Caravels
-20 Sloops o' War
-5 Frigates
-2 Man o' Wars
-2 Monitors

It is fine if either the crown did not comply and/or this request isn't agreed by Council. But I beg to have this fleet reinforced to protect or even expand our territories.

I the Governor of India will start to make my march from Goa to the town of Khanpur. Then will march on the Maratha Empire's Capital of Satara then will finally march back to Goa with gold and jewels. After the War we will make the Maratha Empire our vassal and will conquer more indian land for the Portuguese Empire.
