And with the turning tide of the Millenium, Humanity took a gracious leap foward in Interstellar Exploration. The United Earth now flew the Terran Flag, and the people had never been happier. In under two centuries, Hummanity already had most of their side of the Galaxy mapped and chartered, and Colonies were beginning to stretch accross the vast reaches of space. Various cultures from Earth migrated along with their people, and new Cultural hearths saw a new beginning in the Galaxy. However, the newly formed Democratic Federation of Systems had proved to be a failed Government. Corruption and Crime surged all around the Federation, and two thousand years after Humanity left Earth, an Intergalactic Civil War nearly destroyed it. From the ashes, Systems declared independence against the false protectors, but eventually found themselves caught up in strife. Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel once said "We learn from history that we do not learn from history", and that has never been more true. The newly emerged Galactic superpowers saw no guidance in the right direction. Warlords and Tyrants carved their own Empires throughout the Galaxy until there was nothing left to take. The Known Galaxy has found itself again on the brink of all-out Intergalactic war, and Humanity's fate has never been more jeopardized.
