Requesting assistance to contain a level 5 breach at the Philadelphia facility.
Six scientist are under lockdown in a high security lab where the breach occured.
Another 79 CEDA employees are on site.

Fire Management Assistance Declaration declared on October 04, 2009

The Sheep Fire started near Sheep Canyon Road near Lytle Creek east of Mount Baldy and west of the Cajon Pass in the San Gabriel Mountains.
Mandatory evacuations were in place for all Wrightwood residents October 4–6.

The San Bernardino County Fire Department held the fireline at 0.3-mile (480 m) from Wrightwood homes. Five structures had been destroyed in the Lone Pine and Swarthout Canyon areas including one residence.

Below-freezing temperatures in the mountain areas helped fire crews in containment on October 6.

Fire Management Assistance Declaration declared on October 03, 2009

Kaibab National Forest officials started a prescribed burn in northern Arizona but winds ended up shifting turning it into a full-fledged wildfire. Winds are making it a bit more difficult for firefighters to battle the 1,000-acre blaze that is just one mile southwest from the City of Williams. 64 homes along the southwest corner of the city have been evacuated.

Van Bruggen's Type I Incident Management Team assumed management of the fire. Objectives remain to provide for firefighter and public safety, and minimize impacts to private and public property. Evacuation orders for the southwest area of Williams remain in effect. No new evacuations have been ordered.
