Suddenly the dirty barbarian barkeeper jumps over the counter and bashes the Triarii's skull in.

I like a lot of the design changes they put in. Shows me they had the same issues with Shogun2 that I had (Citybuilding, Armykeeping, and Senate > Dynasty)

However, halfway thru the campaign, I lose interest, because the feeling just isn't right. Shogun2 felt better in respect, I would get immersed much deeper into the historical setting.

Yes, I have to agree. I'm generally disappointed. Where are all the customization options. Why does it seem like there is some general healthpoints bars, why are battles even faster, where are the citybuilding? It feels dumbed down. It really does. Not to mention the graphics.

There really are a lot of things in rome 2 that feel like big steps back from shoogun 2.
