Sweden tried use Great Northern War tactics in the Hat's War in 1740s. What happened; Swedish military disaster, Finland occupied by Russians (Pikkuviha) and more land losses in south-east Finland after the treaty of Åbo. So no, pikes are useless. Unless you are Russia fighting great patriotic war.
