Thanks to Abandonia, I've been able to enjoy many of the DOS games I grew up with and discover heaps more that I never knew even existed, some of which became personal favorites. Abandonia Forever!

The best site for people who are looking for old star wars, star trek, mechwarrior, blizzard, space, simulation, command and conquer, warhammer, strategy, shooter games (IMO). Sorry for 3 posts worth of this site. I just found it and I'm just so damn happy I thought I would share!

Wait just found out you can download 2 games a day for free from old-games. But I'm sure a proxy can fix that ;)

Hey Classic gamelovers! Abandonia is one of the best sites for classic games (other than Gog). But I've found a site called old-games.com . I've never seen such a vast collection of old games before. Some you may have to tweak to work on windows 7, but some have an "easy Installer" to help them work on modern systems (idk about windows 8 though). I even got to get X wing and Tie Fighter to work on Windows 7! Unfortunately you gotta donate 9 bucks to download from it. But a month of downloading armed with an external hard drive should make that worth while. Just thought I would share it since even with Gog and Abandonia, theres still a lot of awesome games missing.

Speakin' of good ol' games... if you guys haven't played ' I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream ' , well... you should get on that! Dirt cheap in the store and highly recommended!!!

@Chocula: I've raised the issue with other staff members and its currently being taken up to powers-that-be behind the site design. Donations are not required for download, but someone has implemented it so that it looks like that.

We'd never, EVER, implement a system where you'd have to donate or do any stupid stuff like click ads before you can downlaod anything. The Abovo team might do it though (The powers-that-be), but the site staff is generally against the idea as far as I can tell.

Hi, maybe someone can help me, i downloaded old strategy game reunion and trying to run it with dosbox but game crashing every time, i have win7 ultimate... i tried to run this game 10-15 and at one attempt i get into game without crash but when i quit and run again game crashing over and over... even if i installed it again... if anyone have any clue or tip im one big ear :)

What happened? Abandonia is down for me. It's like Gamer part of my heart died!!!

Anything goes. A lot of us really like Team Fortress 2 though.
