Devil?

The number of the beast is a special number mentioned in the Bible, which hides the name of the beast of the Apocalypse, a character in the last book of the New Testament (Revelation of John the Evangelist, or Apocalypse), the meaning of the name of Satan's protégé. The number of the beast is 666. The number 666 is a very often used element of Satanic attributes, along with the inverted cross and inverted pentagram.

In the first centuries of the Christian era in theology there was an opinion that under the guise of the apocalyptic beast in the Bible the Antichrist is depicted. Since the Revelation of St. John the Theologian says: "Whoever has a mind, count the number of the beast, for it is the number of man" (Rev. 13:18), so in the name or appearance of each person in whom the Antichrist was seen, they tried to find the number 666.
