That's an excellent point... physically, meet people "in person" not on a communication device. Look them in the eye and talk to them in person. You could note their body language and communicate better with them and them with you. Those days are fading quickly right before our eyes.

I remember that to meet people in public you had to call them, make the appointment and just HOPE they would be there. And in most cases, they were there (at least to me)
