Altis Armed Forces Roleplaying Concept - IMPORTANT NEWS

As many of you already know, we have been talking about starting a brand new roleplay, building up a new group as the Altis Armed Forces

This would be a huge leap in types of RP that we do, as we would have more than just our small unit but rather all branches of the AAF (Army, Air Force, Marines, Navy) as well as possibly reopening our MilSim/RP to the general public to draw more people.

I am working closely with our fair host Wyvern of CoB to implement the AAF changes, and we WILL be transitioning to this new AAF setup.

Please make sure you stay aware of invites to a NEW steam group (you are welcome to keep the 3/7 as it will go into an inactive state should we decide to return to 3/7 rp in the future). I have a very exciting new story arc in mind for the AAF, as well as a lot of work to post up in the new steam group that will have a full backstory to this new plot, as well as areas for each branch/character biographies, etc.

I look forward to moving forward with this exciting new concept for our RP, and wanna thank our hosts at Clan of Brothers for taking this step with us!

Midweek IC Recap - OpDory Slows - Heavy Fighting in the South near Kavala - 3/7th Assignments

As NATO troops continue to drive into West Altis, PAA resistance has become increasingly more steadfast.

Fears of civilian casualties and collateral damage in the populated areas have led the PAA to turn each village, town, and house into a fortress due to the apprehension of NATO forces to deploy artillery and air support. A suprising amount of armor and air power has also been deployed by the PAA, despite NATO efforts to regain control of the skies.

This had led to a "classic" infantry battle in most situations, and led to a dramatic slowdown of initial gains during Operation Dory. In the areas just north of Kavala, fighting has raged non stop for the past 24 hours as the PAA is beleived to have launched a counteroffensive to keep NATO away from the defacto PAA capitol. Heavy Infantry and armored presense is reported all along the southern front.

The 3/7th (Task Force Spartan) after 48 hours of hard frontline fighting is ordered to regroup, and will be mainly working in rear areas the next 48 hours to solidfy NATO control, eliminate bypassed strongholds, perform engineering activities and transportation missions, and generally rest before rejoining the NATO offensive planned for Friday night.

The drop in activity the past few weeks was my fault, my rl schedule has been a little crazy! I will be very busy the next few days trying to get the rest of our members into the group, annoucements here sorted and updated, and the backlog of roster updates and theater orders that need to be posted both here and on the forums.

Yea activities have resumed, watch the forums. Also, we're finally starting Arma 3 operations as well. New orders to be posted up today regarding ops. We'll need to get you added on steam as we're doing our own hosting now, and it makes it far easier to join via invite.
