So guys, this is the end of our first season of Highlander. Though it was a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ending, and I missed about a 3rd of the season, we managed to get 4th place which is much better than I expected. This means that next season we will be moving up to the Steel division! Again I want to thank all of you for making this a great first season even when things to ♥♥♥♥, we still all (for the most part) knew how to have a good time.

With that being said, since the season is over we ARE going to be making cuts, and other roster changes. We are also re-branding into a new group that is not just a giant ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ meme. So this is basically how its going to work. The people that we feel are ready to move on will be invited into the new group, and join the team. The others that are not invited will not be playing with us next season. If you are one of the people that got cut, I am sorry, but no hard feelings. It's just a video game after all. These decisions were made by both myself and Sancer so it was not just a dictatorship over who is good or not.

So make sure that you check your invites to see if you are going to be a part of the new group, and those of you who will not be returning I will privatly message.

About season medals, everyone who was on the roster since Week 5 of the season recieves a medal. These medals will most likley be handed out after next season (S20). Please be patient on those, Valve does have to approve them just like any workshop item so it can take a while.

For the last time, thank you everyone for making this a great season together. I think we did much better than we thought we would, and it was a really great expirence to know that we were on the top of a division. To those of you who will be re-joining, I will see you soon. For those that will not return, I wish you the best of luck it whatever you decide to do.

Also this group will stay here as a historic monument :)

Reminder to both teams, for grand finals we will be collecting the POVs from every player on BOTH teams, as well as the STVs from whoever is hosting. These will need to be in as soon as possible once the match is complete. Note that failure to have POVs from ALL players may result in the match being thrown out, overturned, or replayed.


Grand Finals, Bronze (3rd place) matches and Lower Bracket Finals Matches are played Best of 3 Maps (each map is played as 1 half only)

Map 1: Home Team picks Map 1, Visiting Team picks starting color on Map 1 - Map is played on Home Team's server.
Map 2: Visiting Team picks Map 2, Home Team picks starting color on Map 2 - Map is played on Visiting Team's server.
Map 3: If a Tiebreaker is needed, Teams will play koth_ashville_rc1 and Home Team picks starting color - Map is played on Home Team's server.

Remember that during the Finals - Best of 3 we play each map a little differently than we did during the regular season. Please read below.

KOTH Maps - Played to 3 wins. This map type cannot be tied.

CP Maps - Played to 4 wins or highest score after 30 minutes.**This map type can be tied after 30 minutes. If this occurs then you MUST play 1 additional Overtime round to determine the winner of the map. Whichever team caps all the points first in the OT round will be declared the winner of that map. *If neither team manages to capture all points during the first OT round, a second special OT round is to be played. In this round, whichever team caps the center CP first wins the game. Note: This ONLY occurs if a 2nd OT round is actually needed.

Payload and Attack/Defend Maps - Played as *1 half (i.e. each team attacks and defends once).* These map types cannot be tied. Optional: Teams may agree to play Payload/AD like a normal match instead of just 1 half, but both must post their agreement in Match Comms prior to the match.

Only maps played in regular season or playoffs of the current season can be picked.

Map choices must be made and posted to the Match Comms by 11:59 PM (your local time zone) on Saturday August 27th.
If one team does not make a map choice then pl_upward is to be played as their pick.
Teams can still agree on map changes after Saturday, but they must be mutually agreed upon and posted in Match Comms.

Pregame scrim today at 8:30EST this is mandatory, everyone in the actuall game has to make this as well.

Scrim tomorrow at 9:30EST. Another on friday at 4PST, Saturday at the normal time. And final scrim is on Sunday at 5:00 EST.Since we are playing the number 1 team in the league next match I would be vary appeciated if all starters can make the scrim since not all of them have showed up lately cuz we need all the help we can get.
