We are a group of gals & guys living in Warsaw, Poland. A place famous for polar bears roaming the streets (not true), harsh weather (usually true), hard parties (far too often true) & many great games (totally true). It’s safe to say we had nothing to do with bears nor the weather. Gaming-wise though, everything we do, we do to leave a mark. To prove that having fun can go along with doing something worth remembering.

We are deeply honored to announce that This War of Mine has been awarded a Special Recognition Award by Amnesty International during the Central & Eastern European Game Awards (CEEGA).
The Amnesty International team specifically highlighted our game's continued relevance in portraying the harsh realities faced by civilians in conflict zones. In their statement, they emphasized how This War of Mine serves as a powerful reminder of the crucial importance of international humanitarian law in protecting civilian lives in areas of armed conflict, citing current situations in various regions of the world.

We accept this award as a somber reminder that our work in highlighting the humanitarian crisis of war remains as crucial as ever. As This War of Mine nears its 10th anniversary, conflicts continue to tear through communities worldwide, facing the same struggles we portrayed in our game a decade ago.

This recognition reinforces our commitment to create meaningful experiences that not only entertain and make you a better player, but a better person. I have already played some of your games. Children of Morta, Moonlighter and finially met Frostpunk.
I just wanted to notice that i have never ever seen, heard or played any other game like that...
It's insanely good.
Keep up the good work.
