AFAIK this is a known issue with Huawei phones and Steam Mobile.

If Huawei phones don't use Google Play & Google services, then they might be missing some dependencies or requirements for Steam Mobile or some other mobile apps.
I'm not a developer or expert with phones or mobile apps.
