even more defined.. a sandwich is two SLICES of a loaf of bread with something in between...
a hotdog is is a a single piece of bread, folded around a thing.
(either cut half open bun, or a U shaped bun to start with)
and even if somebody assembled it wrong and cut in halve the bun.. thats still not two SLICES of bread.
so not a sandwich.
The real question here is if two slices of buttered bread make a sandwich.
disagree a split bun is not a sandwich.. it specificly have to be two slices of a sliced loaf of bread.. as it was intented by Lord sandwitch himself as he invented this snack on his english noble estate to serve his guests..
one can even argue that if the bread is cut trough straight.. instead of diagonal if it is still a sandwitch... for well properly prepared it must be a triangle..
