What to buy ?? RTX4070 family
Hello

I want to buy a new GC but i don't really known wich one I need to take

I have a RTX3080 right now, I plan maybe to buy a 4070 TI Super

But don't know if 4070 or 4070 ti or 4070 super is enough

Budget 1000 euros max
Play at possible 4k 60fps setting ultra or high with all recent title ( RT and DLSS optionnal but if necesary or better I take it )
For exemple I can't run The Last of Us at 4k 60fps stable

Thanks for advice

You'll need a 4080 minimum for 4k.
For what I see a 4070 can do it
Not like a 4080 but can on most game
I would not bother. RTX 3080 is basically RTX 4070.

With DLSS yes. Not even close at native 4K.

4070 GPUs are 1440p cards, they can do 4k but not very well imo. Relative has a 4070 super and it runs fantastic at 1440p.
Better off with RTX 3080 or 3080 Ti; either of which can be had brand new for under $450-600 range.

Unless you want a 4070 Ti or 4070 Ti Super then by all means.

I've had no troubles running many games just fine and smoothly at 1440p 21:9 or 2160p 16:9 on my 3080 Ti.

The 4070 Ti Super is your best, but most expensive bet. I've been pretty happy with mine and it does 4K just fine if you're willing to drop ultra settings to high/med or use if you're willing to use dlss with ultra. It sits in a bastard mix of amazing 1440 performance and decent 4K.

Now, do you require a PC config with lower power overhead? RTX 4070 of any kind will use less power then RTX 3070, 3080, 3080 Ti, 3090

If you really want good 4K though and do not wish to be turning games down to 1080p or 1440p on your 4K Display; then aim for 4070 Ti or better. 4080 for example is quite good at this. If it is simply leading to being not an option for you because of pricing; then catch the AMD 7900 XT or XTX when on-sale and they can do 4K gaming as well.

IF sticking to just the RTX 4070 line of cards, then I agree, the RTX 4070 Ti Super is the best bet, it's the fastest and has the most VRAM at 16GB.
Ok thanks

I have some doubts
I go for the 4070ti super

If I have more money maybe a 4080 but less chance

this wont really be a "upgrade" from 3080 to 4070 or 4070 S . . .
a upgrade would be from 3080 to 4080 . . . or at least a 4070 Ti S (TS)

4070 Ti Super is pretty darn close in performance to a stock nvidia FE 4080, but also a good amount less power also
