It’s a waste of money in my opinion.
If you want the best then you go for the Arctic Luquid Freezer III (ideally 420 version if you have a humongous enough case to fit it on top) for a QUARTER of the price and spend the money on a better GPU or save it up for a better upgrade in 2 or 4 years.

I upgrade every 4 years for each component. I have a i7 10700K and want to upgrade my processor. Why do some run 360 liquid coolers with the i7 14700K but some say get water cooling instead that i'm not keen on and never was???

Sure... Lets hear them. I have a Asus ddr4 Z690-A gaming wifi motherboard. It can also run a i7 14700k.

ambient room temp is close to 80F and this was also before undervolting. nothing to write home about, but a good 240 is plenty sufficient. And I actually own it, use it and can provide the evidence

So the high temps only happen with the 14 and 13 series??? So will the i7 15700k be the same???

There is something about the quality of materials but users are reporting that the Arctic outperforms the Asus; although mounting the Arctic can be a PITA for some people.

Perhaps also maybe because ASUS is more well-known among regular users and Arctic is more of a "specialty" brand, perhaps even wildly unknown to many (for lack of better terms) but also could be importing costs or something - my money is on that machined aluminum.

It has a big screen and a big name.
Big price can give an impression of a higher quality and better performance.
However, the best one is also one of the least expensive.
