- the game is not labeled private.
- when I hover my mouse of the game in the "excluded game library" it says "This game is in a package with a game you marked as Private (4)"
- I have no idea what "This game is in a package with a game you marked as Private (4)" means.
the other 2 games are not in private and is in the "included" library of Steam Family.
the only reason I can think of... the DLC is treated as a separate game that got labeled as Private? (without a way to remove the "Private" label) since the DLC doesn't show up under the "DLC" tab of the base game.
Never seen anything like this before...
Only thing i could imagine is if he or she has some content restrictions turned on?
With insurgency sandstorm i coudnt see any of the dlcs i owned. But thats a different thing pretty sure?
Might be worth checking maybe
yea... I am just testing out the new Steam Family sharing function on my own library.
I have 3 games like that. not all have purchased DLC. one of them is resident evil 0 ???
I don't understand *shrugs* lol
I think I was able to get this figured out. At least it worked for the one game I tested.
1) On the left side bar select the game that is giving you the issue, and right click to go to properties
2) select the privacy tab (I think I read somewhere you may need the Beta Steam client, but I don't know the date on that post, so it might not be necessary anymore)
3) There is a toggle switch there to mark as private, and underneath that is a couple of arrows to expand the DLC for the game. I expanded that and all of the DLC was unchecked, but when I toggled the Make the game private and then clicked it again, there was a message about the DLC is not marked private and you can individually mark DLC private...etc
4) Check the list of allowed games on family sharing again, and assuming it worked like mine did, it should show up under the allowed games.
one of these "value" that gets hidden behind layers of UI.
