Defective Game - What happens with a charge back?
Dragon Age the new one, all of my saves are corrupted. EFFECTIVELY I have ZERO hours in the game, because I have NO ACCESS to the 18 hours I already put in. These broken saves have apparently been present since launch and they haven't been fixed, meaning I CANNOT PLAY THIS GAME.

It is entirely broken. My refund request has been denied twice now. What happens if I charge it back by ACCURATELY complaining to my bank that you sold me a DEFECTIVE product?

They certainly can't steal the rest of my library. That would be grand larceny with how many games I own.

They can take away the specific game itself only, right?
And an account lock means nothing can be added/removed from the account while the lock is still in place.

You can still play your games with the one exception of VAC enabled servers in CS2.

CS2 updated their rules to prevent accounts with said locks from joining VAC enabled servers back in May...

Account lock just means you can't buy anything from the store or market and sell items. Your payment method will be banned for life from the platform too even if you reverse the chargeback.

The premise of a transaction is that I spend money for NOT a defective product. So WHAT if I didn't know if was defective within 2 hours. Selling me the defective product in the ORIGINAL transacation is FRAUD. Do I need to sue steam for fraud if they lock my account?

The best thing you can do is seek help in the game forum https://gtm.you1.cn/discussions/#games

Don't do a chargeback because the cost going forward will be devastating to your account and ability to use the platform properly.
You can try placing a manual support ticket and see if that works but if that's denied then that's it.

Otherwise if this is a issue the game is having you can always backup your saved files after each playthrough and replace them when needed until this is fixed.

The way it works, you have no idea when your saves will get corrupted. So I would have to close and open and backup the game EVERY single save. That is a defective product.
