No steam game will start
Here is my problem none of my steam games will start up I have deleted the games ans reinstalled I have uninstalled and reinstalled steam itself I have uninstalled my antivirus nothing works It is a small nuc computer but I dual boot linux KUBUNTU and the games run when I boot into linux
any ideas would be appreciated

what happens is go to the library and hit run and the game does not even start

same problem on WIN 11 with game I was playing yesterday. Tried "validating file" and repeatedly had two three that did not pass. Steam automatically "reacquires" same but to no avail. Checking validation reveals 2 fails again (and again). Uninstalled/reinstalled. Same results. Clueless now.

did a windows reinstall and that fixed it

Are you using windows 11 version 24h2? That version is buggy. It can cause all kinds of issues in games. Either rollback to windows 11version 23h2 or do a reinstall of it on your pc. Neither are easy to do though. Look on google for instructions if you do not know how to do either.

thanks I will check the version I know I had 24h2 before I reinstalled

If you dual boot Windows with Linux, it is best to always install Linux first. :csd2smile:

I did not realize linux could cause windows problems That bothers me
