Steam client bug report

I'm currently trying to report a bug with the steam client, every single time I try to contact valve it redirects me to the support page for a specific game rather than the steam client itself, or it directs me to pages relating to steam payment issues... does anyone have any idea how to contact steam support for issues relating to the steam client?

To be precise, this is relating to the steam client displaying random notifications for messages when no message has been received, it has been doing this repeatedly, and is still doing it, for several weeks now.

Steam Support only handles User Account issues.

post in this forum, it is for both beta and stable versions of the client.
