When did this change it used to say option 1 asia or whatever then option 2 n america now it comes up as chinese text?

Make a forum post could be a mistake they made at some point when patching, if they don't know about it they can't really fix it :)

What’s the actual difference between the two versions?

default was option 1 so I went with that( couldnt read it) i second Wonders question.

The difference is where the servers are located. One is Asia and one is North America. You want the North America which I believe is now the 2nd choice. Im not 100% though its been awhile since I jumped in.

Bruh, how am I supposed to know if its in chinese lol, i'm already 40hs in and have had some issues with connection, is there a way to change it now?

Unless they changed it I dont think there is a way to change it. Maybe google and see if theres a way to manipulate your save file with the guijan files. But I really think youre out of luck.

They used to be labelled Asia and North America, and somehow it got changed down the road.
