how to play offline?
bought this game years ago and wanted to have a quick play session on it again

i know that the servers have been shutdown, but how can i play offline because im not interested in multiplayer?
when i try and launch the game, the launcher just does nothing.

edit - i even tried to using project paradise 2 launcher, and when i click play (after checking game files etc) it just brings up the official game launcher which just does nothing again.

It's trying to connect to servers. Wait about 2 minutes, the launcher will complain that it can't connect to servers, press "Cancel", then the main "Play" button, then confirm that you want to play offline ("Yes").

If you don't want to wait every time, add these lines to "hosts" file:
# Test Drive Unlimited 2 servers
127.0.0.1 clientstats.testdriveunlimited2.com
127.0.0.1 patchserver.testdriveunlimited2.com
127.0.0.1 www.testdriveunlimited2.com

This will essentially block all launcher connections and the button will light up almost right away.

This file is located C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\ and it's a text file that you can edit with any text editor like Notepad. You might run into access restriction, so just google "how to add lines to hosts file" for more info about that.
