Skill issue + hard game ≠ bad game

yeah, a bit of skill issue... but the game is hard too obviously... you have to play more safe and slow, but yeah the game is hard...
Lowest numerical player health in the entire series. It's probably Halo 2's biggest problem.
If you already struggle on Halo normal, wait till you try Halo 2 legendary.

Skill issue, no other way. Halo 2 normal is super eay.

Man I beat it on heroic wasn't too bad definitely a skill issue couple tough spots definitely manageable.
I am playing it on Heroic now. It is tough, definitely tougher than Halo 3. I can't imagine Legendary. What I notice is the way the missions trap you at times. Go through 8 doors, then go through one and there are 4 Elites coming through the other way just on the other side. Or, Jackal snipers that spawn behind you, etc. Flood forms that charge you and of course the first one has a shotgun by design. I died a lot on certain parts, and just focused on what methods and strategies to use for the tough parts. When I feel like I haven't done the mission well enough part of the way through I'll restart it so I feel more accomplished knowing more about the traps that are set. This is the hardest Halo game so don't expect it to be easy but I kind of like the challenge of the level design. Also, sometimes the older graphics make it easier to play because the lighting effects from your own gun can sometimes blind you. Every grenade or needler round may as well be a flare. It feels like most guns are useless except the energy sword and covenant carbine at times.

the only skill issue anyone has ever had with halo 2 lied in assuming the game would be good and playing to that expectation instead of to what halo 2 actually is, which is a fickle 75%-finished derivative glitchfest stapled to an episode of star trek voyager.

i invite anyone saying 'skill issue' to explain how the badly programmed quarantine zone gondola insta-killing arbiter has anything to do with player input. this game's difficulty is a quasi-fun trial of patience and tolerance.

this game very literally opens with a cutscene of your NCO saying your new equipment is from Korea and then it's comically bad armor for the rest of the campaign. and yes, this on purpose as a manufacturing joke, because arbiter also gets told his armor is old and sucks. prank difficulty, prank game.


skill issue + you're bad + obviously didn't get the sun rank in halo 2 OG sbmm + halo 3 colonel team slayer 42-locked + L + ratio + doesn't know the lockout strats + can't adapt to vista super bounce meta + ur ultra + didn't veto isolation + liked h3 snowbound

Halo 2's campaign is bad but the difficulty isn't why
Halo 2 is a game that focuses a lot more on tight corridor combat instead of being an even mix of open and closed areas. Favor closer range, sustainable weapons and if possible let the enemy come to you.
