Critical Issues with MK Matches:

While the core gameplay of Mortal Kombat (MK) is solid and enjoyable, the overall experience is significantly hampered by technical and balancing issues. Approximately 90% of my match sessions are abruptly terminated due to desynchronization errors, making it nearly impossible to complete a game. This persists despite running the game on a fully updated system with Windows 11 and the latest drivers.

Furthermore, character balancing remains a major concern. Certain characters feel overwhelmingly "pay-to-win," as they can spam a single move and secure victory within a few hits. Health imbalance is another glaring issue, where your attacks deal significantly reduced damage compared to your opponent’s, and their hits often register first—even if you initiate the attack. This leads to frustrating situations where the opponent’s animations override yours, suggesting possible script manipulation or unfair mechanics designed to prolong playtime.

On top of this, Mortal Kombat’s constant desynchronization problems make the game incredibly frustrating. Matches frequently end mid-session, and while this might be tolerable at first, it becomes unbearable when it happens in 100% of matches on certain days. For a premium game on PC or console, this level of instability is unacceptable and detracts from the enjoyment.

In comparison, a free mobile game like Shadow Fight 4 Arena offers a far smoother and more reliable experience, with no such issues. Considering MK's technical flaws, it’s hard to recommend the game, especially when its most basic functionality—completing a match—is unreliable.

If these issues are widespread across the entire MK franchise, it raises serious questions about the developers’ commitment to quality. Rather than frustrating players with a broken experience, it may be time for the developers to reassess their approach—or even consider retiring the series until these problems are resolved.

gameplay is slow as hell, not for me i guess

I lost connection for a moment and got booted back to the menu...in single player towers. Says it all really.
Also doesn't have an iota of respect for your time with it's crappy new gear system. Gone are fun costumes, now you win dozens of fights so you can earn a new belt buckle for Johnny Cage, it's pathetic.
Also features one of the worst stories ever written by man, anyone telling you otherwise is a teenager that has yet to develop standards.

Very good i really like mortal kombat but it seems i cant do online mode. that is sucks considering i want to try it out but still a good game with your friends doing local multiplayer just buy it when its on sale tho.

Best MK game in the series. I wish DLC for future games worked with the older MK games.

Great game but when i am playing online there is a bug that I cannot play.

The game likes to pretend that it is a Mortal Kombat game, but it really is just terribad.
NRS Just needs to fire everyone but Boon and do a mass rehire to bring back the series.
